:: What happened to the regular WebGOLD site that ASPS used to offer?

WebGOLD Pro is the same professional, custom WebGOLD site we have always offered, but with a new name. We did this to distinguish this product from our other offerings like WebGOLD Debut, our web solutions product for plastic surgery senior residents and plastic surgeons still working toward their board certification. Also, our WebGOLD product line features WebGOLD Enhanced, previously known as ASPS Member Enhanced Home Page.

:: How many pages can I create on my WebGOLD Pro site?

In addition to the home page, patient photo gallery and procedural information sections, members can work with a WebGOLD Consultant to develop up to seven additional pages. If you choose to go over the 10 pages included in the WebGOLD Pro package, you may purchase additional pages for $250 dollars each.

:: How much do the WebGOLD products cost?

:: Can I make changes to my WebGOLD site?

Members with a WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Enhanced page will be able to upload their photo gallery materials on their own using an automated system. A WebGOLD consultant will be available to make other text and design changes to all member sites post-launch, within reason. If alterations exceed the number of work hours stated in the WebGOLD contract, an hourly fee will be assessed.

:: I'm a Candidate for Membership in ASPS; can I buy a WebGOLD site?

If you are eligible to participate in the ASPS Online Referral Service, you are eligible to purchase a WebGOLD Pro site or WebGOLD Enhanced page. Currently all Candidates for Membership and Active Members certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. or The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada can participate.

:: I'm in practice with another ASPS member, can we both use the same site?

Yes. The best way to structure this is to have a "general" front page for your site (like "Silver City Plastic Surgery") and then use one of your other linked pages to provide information "About Our Doctors." Additional physicians can be added to any order for $1000 each. Every additional physician receives two additional pages and two additional email addresses.

:: I already have an ASPS Enhanced Home Page; if I buy WebGOLD Pro, will I have both?

No. The WebGOLD Pro site would replace the Enhanced Page in the ASPS "Find A Plastic Surgeon" Online Referral System.

:: Can I purchase a WebGOLD site and host it with a different vendor?

No. The WebGOLD sites are intrinsically linked to the ASPS Web server database systems and are designed to work only when hosted by ASPS.

:: Will I need to work with someone else to obtain my WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Debut site's domain name?

No. WebGOLD staff will work with the surgeon to find an available domain that he or she wants, register it, and point it at the new site. ASPS will take care of managing and renewing the domain for the surgeon as part of the annual maintenance contract.

:: I already have a domain name reserved that I would like to point to my new WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Debut site; can I transfer this to ASPS?

ASPS WebGOLD staff will help surgeons transfer management of domains to ASPS. The success of this will depend on the vendor currently maintaining the domain.

:: I already have a website, but I'd like it completely redone. Can I move my existing content to a WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Debut site?

Yes, assuming the existing site's content would fit within the page limit of your qualifying product (not including the home page, photo gallery or procedural information).

::Do you offer flash animation for WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Debut?

Yes, we create flash animated banners to go with the WebGOLD Pro and WebGOLD Debut sites for an additional fee. Please visit our Flash Animation page for more information.

:: Can I purchase additional pages for my WebGOLD Pro site?

Yes, if you choose to go over the 10 pages included in the WebGOLD Pro package, you may purchase additional pages for $250 dollars each.

:: Do WebGOLD Pro and WebGOLD Debut offer Search Engine Optimization?

Yes. Not only do we notify all the major search engines and directories of your new site launch, but we optimize your site for the best keywords and content so your practice can be found. All Search Engine Optimization performed on your site is included in the price of your WebGOLD program.

:: How will patients find my WebGOLD Pro or WebGOLD Debut site?

There are many ways that patients can be directed to your site. Patients can find your site through referrals from other websites or advertisements that you can set up on your own; however, the WebGOLD program offers an organic Search Engine Optimization program at no additional cost so you can be found in search engines as well. :: Do WebGOLD Pro and WebGOLD Debut support Audio and Video media?

Yes. Please speak with a WebGOLD Consultant to further discuss your Audio or Video needs.

:: How do I buy any one of the WebGOLD products?

Contact the ASPS Member Services Center at 1-800-283-9600, ext. 471 or 1-800-766-4955 to place your order or purchase online at, www.shopASPS.org. Once your order has been placed, a WebGOLD product consultant will call your office to set up a consultation with the surgeon to work out the specifics of what the site will include, and what elements the practice will need to provide in order for the site to be built.
