Dr. Bhattacharya received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude and with distinction in science. He received his medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. Over the following seven years, Dr. Bhattacharya graduated from two intensive training programs from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and the prestigious plastic surgery training at the State University of New York (SUNY).
He trained under nationally renowned surgeons in various techniques in aesthetic surgery of the face and body. This included state-of-the-art techniques in breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty and liposuction. Dr. Bhattacharya continues to teach and train plastic surgeons as an Assistant Professor at SUNY and as a Clinical Instructor at UMDNJ. He continues to stay abreast of the latest technologies and techniques in plastic surgery through his teaching appointments at UMDNJ and SUNY. Dr. Bhattacharya has also traveled overseas performing charity plastic and reconstructive surgery such as cleft lips.
